~*~ABOUT ME & MY VIDEOS~*~
"Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow."
-Anthony J. D’Angelo
I’ve been making fan videos since summer 2006. I have made hundreds of them and unfortunately I did not always watermark them.
In June 2009, after finding two of my The Vampire Chronicles videos shamelessly stolen, I woke up to reality and added my watermark, VampireOutlaw, on some of my old work,
and started to watermark all my new vids ever since.
I started vidding with
The Phantom of the Opera (2004), but unfortunately, in 2008, most of those videos were lost,
when I bought a new PC. Only the two very first were safe. Later I remade one of the lost ones, and may be remaking the rest, too.
My original YouTube usernames were
bendaimmortal and
peterpanlegend, during 2006-2009.
March 2009, they all got suspended because I was stupid enough to keep them on the same e-mail address. Below, you'll find my current YouTube usernames and more.
I take requests, am very glad to receive them, and do consider them, but I can’t always make them.
~*~THE PROGRAMS I USE~*~
X Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Edition 8.
X But up to August 2007 I used Windows Movie Maker.

X Other than on those sites under those usernames – it’s not me publishing them and so unless the uploader has my video completely untouched AND credits me correctly and links back to this site – they have stolen my work and the videos should be taken down.
Though, I do wish they were taken down anyway, as I wish to be the only one publishing my videos, in order to know whenever they get feedback.
A fanvideo thief might say “HYPOCRITE! YOU STOLE IT FIRST!” and we honest vidders reply:
We do not simply take the film and combine it to a song but we work hard on making it into our own editing and effects in our own visions and still we credit the companies and write disclaimers for the clips and music we used. And if a company objects to our content, the video sharing site will take action. So the original editers, in other words the copyright owners of the fanmade videos, have every right in objecting to their content being used and taking action to have it removed.
MY NAME IS BENJAMIN, I was born in 1984 and am a passionate fan. There are times my life revolves completely around fandoms and I always dig deep into them. I’m very creative and artistic soul and my favorite hobbies are making fan videos, forum roleplaying (mostly in fan based roleplay games), writing fan fiction, and watching movies. When I start creating something or just even talking about a thing I love with all my heart and soul, people usually immediately notice how passionate I am about it. Some people confuse it with obsession but you should know, an obsession is something that keeps a person from living their life and causes rather negative emotions and events, and that is not my case. My life really does sometimes revolve around fandoms but it’s because I love them, not because I feel I have to, in order to enjoy anything else, or that I wouldn’t be doing anythng else. So it’s indeed a passion, a love, not an obsession. (:
One thing you should know too, is that I am seriosuly, half blind. Ever since I was born I have seen nothing but lights with my right eye, which I thus can't use, and my left eye’s vision began to go worse when I was 11 and if it hadn’t been operated I’d be blind now. Thus you know one reason why I can’t make videos with tons of dynamic fast editing and effects like some people do. But instead, I put all my heart into them and try combine the clips and moments of the movies just right with each others and the lyrics sung on the background.
Not that I'd think it would be any ddifferent if I had a normal eye vision. It's simply the way I create. So far I have found that that is exactly what people for one thing appreciate about my videos – and I thank you.
I love psychology and I put all my heart into the videos I make and I know, it shows in them. I’m especially fond of fictional, troubled father-son relationships. Most of those videos I make with my top favorites; Marius & Lestat, Angel & Connor, Barty Crouch & Barty Crouch Jr. and Mufasa & Simba.
I like AU vidding and videos but I prefer making them with logic and realistic base – menaing working them out from the story by exploring the realistic possibilities of the characters. So, I do not just pair characters for the fun of pairing them – there has to be some realistic and logic way for them to be. For example, when indepthly analysed Peter Pan, the original book and the 2003 film, weighting on the film, Peter might very well choose to grow up for Wendy though him growing up would be complicared.
Humour crack videos – I absolutely love them. They’re a great way to go crazy and have fun – one good way to show love for the fandoms, and the only way to take characters completely out of character without offending. I just don’t make them that much – not that I didn’t want to – I just don’t have the interest enough to take break from actual fanvideos. The only humour crack I’ve so far made is “Lestat – Stupid In School [The Brat Prince Version]“ for The Vampire Chronicles. I will be making more in time, though. (:
Next I will tell you some about my thoughts about Peter Pan.
About other fandoms and me, you can read from each individual category on the Other Fan Videos section and I'll be happy to discuss any of these fandoms with you
in the Guestbook or by e-mails. (:
ME & PETER PAN:
I have loved Peter Pan since I was 5 years old, I grew up with the story, mostly the stupid Disney cartoon bs but also partly the original book - but after the 2003 live-action film I fell in love with it all over again. It is cclearly the most faithful and beautiful movie adaptation of the book, plus the Peter & Wendy two-way-romance was interesting and beautifully portrayed. Jeremy Sumpter and Racheö Hurd-Wood's perfection in bringing the characters to life and their chemistry together only adds to the captivating story.
I despise the Disney cartoon version as it is so unfaithful and ridiculous adaptation, ignoring all important themes and details and making the story far too light-hearted and Peter himself is an elf in it and not a human child he should be. As a 5-year old I naturally didn't care.
So, my Peter Pan videos are based on or inspired by the 2003 film and the original book, combined usually. For all I know I'm still the only one making / publishing videos about Peter's mother-issue in his motherless existence and how it effects his relationship with Wendy which is the main theme in the original book.
I have seen the movie "Hook" but I don't like that too much. The inspiration to my grown-up-Peter vision was born from the perfect chemistry between Jeremy and Rachel in the romantic vision of the 2003 film and hearing the song "I Wanna Grow Old With You" by DJ Limmer. (I have used that twice in my videos.) The modern day setting for the vision is only because I became to make videos about it based on my Peter Pan roleplay game, where it was easier to set to the year 1995. The RPG is Finnish and currently closed.)
Plus - the original book and Barrie's other book "Peter Pan in Kengsinton Gardens" reveal that he didn't really, truly want to stay a child forever, but tried to return home.
He did return home first, in means to stay for good, and the window was open and his mom took him back in. But he had proised to the fairy queen, to come back and say goodbye. It was then, when the fairies tricked him to lose his parents and home.
They kept him there by arranging parties and all kinds of fun stuff for the young child to enjoy, and he kept fotgetting to go back home. But he had the sublime faith in a mother's love:
("You are wrong about mothers, Wendy. Long ago, I thought like you that my mother would always keep the window open for me so I stayed away for moons and moons and moons and then flew back, but the window was barred for mother had forgotten all about me and there was another little boy sleeping in my bed.") - so, only after that night he became to despise grown ups, think mothers over-rated personas, and fear growing up, and had lost any trust in love and grown-ups. If even his own mother could just forget all about him and replace him with another son, how could anyone else love him for real and the love last?
But even so, in the very deepest it was only a pretend that he didn't want to grow up at all.
So I think he was afraid of living grown-up life 'cause he wants to be free and have fun without responsibilities and all, but the thought about after all some day growing up wasn't all that bad and he tried to choose it after all, until the event with his mother.
He first ran away for a childish dream, but soon it was all he could hold on to. He had fun and adventures and eternal childhood but he needed a motherly person to comfort him and give the feeling of safety and warmth. He finally found that in Wendy. She was still his age, which made it easier to trust her. But he had huge issues with trusting her love so he wouldn't admit his nor follow her back home. However I have based my visions on the 2003 film characters who are some 7 years older than the original versions from the book, and Peter isn't even nearly so utterly lost and hopless case as in the novel, so it's a bit more possible to have Peter grow up after all - though only if with Wendy in the end.
So, we need to remember that, that movie's Peter wasn't as horrible mental mess as the book's is. The book's Peter had lost the line between reality and make-believe. The film's hadn't. Also, my Peter ran away from home at the age of 11, not as a baby. This because it's a bit more realistic and fits better the 2003 film's character's obvious ability to knwo and feel romantic love.
But I do not think he could've lead a normal life here even if he did come back and grow up. I think he'd have held on to his independence and relative freedom, as his mistrust towards adults and love, and dispise towwards mothers certainly would not have disappeared anywhere. But at the same time he appreciated the femalw genre above all.
Hence, "one girl is worth more than twenty boys", and so on. In my view he was never adopted, and never went to school during his teenage years. But he did step back into Wendy and the Lost Boys's life some years later. Because he needed Wendy, the same as before; as a romantic love and a sort of a mother-figure.
More of my view shows if you watch the Mottherless Child and Peter Pan Grew Up categories's videos.
Here comes one of the reasons why I am so dedicated Peter&Wendy shipper - because I have taken that psychological trauma theme from the book, I want him to at least have hope. And it can't be anyone but Wendy Darling, 'cause many people may have similiar personalities that somehhow complete you, but only one in the world is the one, with who the pieces fall into place exactly perfectly even if getting there isn't easy. I think the original story, amongst other things, symbolizes the way that you don't always get to be with the one, but sometimes you get awfully close.
So after all I do not ignore the true ending of the story - there are some videos there from me, where Wendy has grown up but Peter hasn't. Such as to the song "Remember" from Josh Groban, "Forever Young" from Alphaville and "Fields of Gold (Remake)" from Eva Cassidy. And "I Cry" from Shayne Ward is semi-true as it has the theme but it's only a dream in that one. I may put up own section for them sometime.
If only I had a good live-action film with the characters being 5-year olds as they should and with a film footage of the night when Peter tried to return hom! Oh, what videos I could make! *dreamy*
